Saturday December 8th is the EVAN Christmas Fair at Rheged!

Come and meet local artists, makers and musicians from the Eden Valley Artistic Network.
Over 30+ of the finest local artists including painters, potters, sculptors, print-makers, mixed media artists and photographers. Artists will have work on display for sale and will be demonstrating their crafts with live festive music adding to the atmosphere.

The Sill Christmas Fair

Coming up soon: The Sill, the National Landscape and Discover Centre on Hadrian's Wall is holding a Christmas Fair 17-18th November. I'll  be displaying a range of new work, alongside top artists and independent food stall holders. Come and find us at Once Brewed from 10am to 4pm both days.

B-ART weekend 14-16th September 2018

B-ART weekend is fast-approaching. Time for the Cake and Art Trail!

I'll be displaying work at Trish Parry's Chapel View Studio in Milton, on the A689 just outside Brampton. Throwing demonstrations at 3pm on all three days.

Shadowfield at Upfront Gallery - Sep 14th - November 11th

My new sculptural group Shadowfield will be displayed at Cumbrian Ceramics, Upfront Gallery, Unthank, near Penrith in Cumbria, as part of Cumbrian Ceramics and Printmakers exhibition. September 14th- November 11th. Preview: September 13th from 7 pm when there will be an "Empty Bowls" fundraising event for Mary's Meals.

The Sill Spring Fair - 5-6 May 2018

It's the Sill's first Spring Fair this weekend. I'll be displaying new hand-held sculptures, pots, lamps and more. Come up to Hadrian's Wall and enjoy art, food, chat and, of course, the great outdoors! Open from 10am Saturday and Sunday  5th-6th May 2018. Sill website has more information and directions.

Linescapes at Brampton's Front Room

A joint exhibition with my sister, Linescapes will be at Brampton's Front Room 17 February - 3 March. We're the first in a series of exhibitions at this great venue.

Linescapes

From now to 28th November 2017:  an installation by Frances and Carolyn Marr at RSPB Geltsdale's gallery in the North Pennines, Cumbria. The RSPB blogpost about the show is here.




















We have used locally-found materials - including river grit, peat, bracken and heather - combined with clay to create a series of artworks tailor-made for this gem of a gallery tucked under Tindale Fell, near Hallbankgate. The gallery is roughly 20 minutes' walk from the car park. There is disabled access.

C-Art at the Moot 15-17th September 2017

We're in Brampton's 200-year-old Moot Hall in the market square, right in the centre of town, for this year's C-Art Festival. See our listing on C-Art website.


For the first time this year it's also C-Art Brampton Weekend with a variety of arty events happening all over Brampton and the surrounding area.

We'll be doing making demonstrations over the weekend: small sculptures, machine embroidery, drawing and jewellery. Open 10am - 5 pm for all three days. Disabled access.
